COMMUNITY POLICE OFFICER’S REPORT
J. Doyle gave details in absence of Community Police Officer. CRIME STATS FOR PERIOD 06/05/06 TO 06/06/06
65 calls to police

Breakdown:
DISORDER CALLS - 50, OF WHICH 27 WERE REPORTED TO THE P.F

DISHONESTY CALLS - 14, OF WHICH 2 WERE REPORTED TO THE P.F

DRUGS - 1 REPORT TO THE P.F
As Paul [PC McRoberts] was on leave during the period no 'Hot Spot' identified.

CHAIR’S REPORT
With winding up of Blackbraes Committee, Persimmon wishes to develop liaison with the Community Council. They will be invited to the August meeting. There will be some compensation for the removal of trees planted 11 years ago. This will be put into the Social Fund.

CRIME PREVENTION PANEL
J. Doyle and S. Reid reported on the recent Crime Prevention Panel meeting. There had been a very informative presentation about the Problem Solving initiative and it was agreed to invite a representative to speak at a future meeting.

TREASURER'S REPORT
Books are at the accountant and should be completed by the end of this week and submitted to SLC. £103.36 has been repaid to SLC. Current balance £627.35, including £522.99 in the Social Fund.

SECRETARY’S REPORT
Several items now out of time; some replies to Secretary’s correspondence still outstanding. J. Doyle attending meeting on Thursday relating to A&E situation.

COUNCILLOR’S REPORT
No Councillors present.

AOCB
1. Ideas for Youth group requested. Sources of funding will be investigated and M. Cameron willing to be responsible for any Lottery applications.
2. Mileage rate: expenses rate confirmed at 53pence per mile.
3. Letter from the Licensing Division offering a presentation; it was agreed that one should be requested.
4. Postwatch. S Reid raised issue of closure of rural Post Offices. Although b not rural, there are implications of policy on smaller Offices such as Calderwood and this should be monitored.
5. Phone Mast at Calderwood Square. Has been rejected twice but J. Radcliffe requested that SLC inform him of any appeal. J. Doyle will also request this from SLC.
